About Gathings Community Gardens
Gathings Community Gardens is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in Bloomfield, New Mexico, and built on a simple belief: every family deserves access to fresh, healthy food and the knowledge to grow it.
Founded by Jeremy and Selece Gathings after returning to their hometown and witnessing the ripple effects of poverty and food insecurity, Gathings Community Gardens was born out of love for community and a commitment to lasting change. Starting with depleted, fallow soil, they rebuilt the land from the ground up, a reflection of the work they do every day for the people around them.
They grow chemical-free produce for local families, schools, senior centers, and food banks using regenerative practices and solar energy. We also grow people ; offering hands-on vocational training, intern opportunities, and educational programming that equips the next generation of growers with the skills to nourish their communities.
At Gathings Community Gardens, food is more than sustenance. It's connection, dignity, and hope. Harvested fresh and shared freely.
Grow. Learn. Nourish.
We don't take a cut. 100% of donations, grants, and gifts in kinds go directly and entirely to our mission. Not salaries, not overhead.
Just Impact.
