Gathings Gardens is a family-owned farm and nursery founded in 2022 by Jeremy and Selece Gathings in Bloomfield, New Mexico.
Selece Gathings was raised in Dallas, Texas. She holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, is currently pursuing her PhD at New Mexico State University, and serves as Associate Director of San Juan County Partnership and co-coordinator for the San Juan County Early Childhood Coalition.
Jeremy Gathings is a Bloomfield native and experienced business owner who spent two decades in Texas running a successful businesses including a landscaping company before returning home to start Gathings Gardens.
Together, they had a shared mission, restored over twenty years of fallow soil, and built a working farm that now supplies fresh, chemical-free produce to local families, schools, senior centers, and food banks across San Juan County. They have 4 beautiful children and they have all been the driving force for the work.
Gathings Gardens operates on 25 acres and grows kale, tomatoes, carrots, beets, lettuce, squash, apples, peaches, and more using regenerative agriculture, solar energy, and water conservation practices. Beyond the harvest, the farm provides vocational training, internships, and hands-on agricultural education for the next generation of growers.
